Zak Goes Back to School
Zak Spencer, a 29-year old former teen idol, hasn’t held a decent acting job since his hit series, The Malibu Boys ended. On the advice of his manager, Zak decides to return to Arizona with his basset hound, Elvis, in order to complete the college degree he left unfinished when he rose to stardom. Back at ASU, Zak finds he only has one course left to finish. Trouble develops when Zak falls for Dr. Amy Campbell, the beautiful young professor teaching that course. Zak also discovers he’s been followed to Arizona by his best friend, Chay, a goofy fellow Malibu Boy, who thinks life’s one big party. Zak must choose between completing his degree and pursuing a forbidden relationship with his professor all the while being pressured by Chay to join him in the college party scene. It is not until Chay falls for Nora, a brainy classmate of Zak’s who loves to belly dance on skates, that he understands the pain of unrequited love and can finally empathize with Zak’s predicament. Zak finally decides that the only solution to his dilemma is to rid himself of his student status by graduating from school so that he can at last pursue a relationship with Amy.

The Mustard Seeds
A Story for a Christian Audience
After his mom’s sudden death, Elliot White, a teen musical savant with Asperger’s Syndrome is forced to leave his performing arts high school in New York City when he relocates to Winslow, Arizona to live with his aunt, Amaryllis Long. When Elliot discovers his new high school has no music program, he decides to form a band on his own. Elliot assembles a motley group of musical misfits but they are unable to attract an audience for their music. Amaryllis inspires Elliot when she gives him some mustard seeds and explains that faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains, even a mountain that seems as insurmountable as having a successful concert in Winslow. As their faith grows, Elliot and his band-mates believe that they will be able to share their gift of music through public performance. However, the school’s principal, who cut all of the arts programs, stands in the way of fulfilling that mission. Elliot and his band-mates then decide to put their faith into action and begin a Campaign for a Concert in Winslow. When the campaign garners national attention, the principal is forced to give in and allow the band, The Mustard Seeds, to play for the town and share God’s gift of music.
